Are You Writing Your Success Story?

Have you written your success story? If a national news outlet sent a reporter to create an award winning feature story about you and your greatest successes, what would it look, feel and sound like? I’m serious – what would you want to proudly share with the world?

Was it easy to create a great success story or was it difficult to visualize? It may be difficult to appreciate your greatest success story if you unconsciously, and maybe even consciously, feel you aren’t currently achieving many successes. If you aren’t able to appreciate or even picture yourself succeeding, it’s difficult to visualize yourself achieving a great success story.

Success is as much a state of mind as it is an actual event.

If you’re having a difficult time picturing your “ultimate” successes, let’s begin with the small ones, the ones you achieve everyday and probably aren’t even realizing or appreciating.

Here are a few ways to acknowledge successes:
1. As soon as you achieve a “to-do” on your daily to-do list, write it down as a success. Why? Believe it or not, each small daily accomplishment is taking you one step closer to achieving your greatest success story.

2. At the end of the day, acknowledge the most satisfying accomplishment for that day. Take the time to acknowledge any accomplishment that has taken you one positive step toward your goals – it can be small or large. Writing down a daily success is alerting your mind to become even more aware of finding and acknowledging your personal and professional successes.

3. At the end of the week write down your greatest accomplishment for that week. Acknowledge and appreciate it for the positive success it is.

4. At the end of the month write down the one accomplishment for which you are most proud. Why are you so proud of this accomplishment? By appreciating your success for the true accomplishment it is, you are giving yourself the ability to experience the emotion of success. Remember, success is as much a state of mind as it is an actual event.

Your greatest success story is being written day by day, week by week and month by month – it’s up to you to appreciate and acknowledge all the successes along the way. Acknowledge the self-satisfaction that comes along with accomplishing even the smallest successes. These day-to-day successes are the ones leading you toward your greatest success story!
I can’t wait to read your success story,
