How to Repurpose Your Blog Posts

If you’ve been consistently writing for your blog, you’re probably developing quite a collection of posts. The question becomes, how can you best use all these well-written posts to find new and creative ways to market your business?

I’ve heard many coaching clients grumble about how they’ve been posting consistently and it seems like their posts are just sitting and gathering Internet dust. I’m here to say that you have several ways to successfully repurpose your posts and use them to become additional marketing tools.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Podcasts and radio shows. Have you ever thought about starting your own Internet radio show? A practical and “modern” way to repurpose your blog posts would be to use them as scripts for your own Blog Talk Radio show. Setting up a show on BlogTalkRadio.com is easy and free. I’ve had my Women Enjoying Success show for over five years and am nearing 100,000 listens from my target market.

A radio show does three things: (1) It gets you Google rankings so your target market can get to know, like and trust you. (2) It gets you a place in the iTunes library and, (3) It provides you with a downloadable podcast you can embed into your website or blog. To me, those are three very good reasons to set up a once a month radio show.

2. Turn your blog posts into a book. You can gather posts on the same subject or topic and begin to organize them into chapters. Before you know it, you have a Kindle book ready to sell on Amazon. You create a cover, format your Kindle, upload it to Amazon.com and you now have a book available for your target market to buy and recommend to their friends.

3. Good blog posts can become paid webinars and teleconferences. With all of the Social Media tools available for free, taking your most popular blog posts and turning them into paid webinars, seminars or teleconferences is easy and inexpensive. With Internet services like Google+ Hangouts and conference call providers like FreeConferencePro.com you can set up webinars easily and inexpensively. Decide which are your most popular blog posts and then expand them into a half hour or an hour paid webinar.

I’m all for repurposing blog posts! My suggestion is to keep writing and posting and before you know it, you’ll have a radio show, a book and a webinar all ready for your target market to enjoy.

I’m thinking that my next eBook can be created from all my blog posts. There are so many. I also like the idea of creating podcasts from them. That’s on my to do list.

Is it time to start your own Blog Talk Radio show? It’s free and the shows will also be available on iTunes.

I have quit blogging because I felt exactly as you stated, gathering internet dust! However, you gave some really great ideas with the podcast, ebook and webinars! What a creative idea! I am motivated to keep blogging!
    Thanks for all you do!

The key to blogging is building your readership. Blogging is a great marketing tool so your target market gets to know, like and trust you.

      Keep blogging!!!

Most of the Kindle books I’ve published have come from my blog posts or at least my blog post ideas.

Let us know when your book is published!!!
