Meet My Mentor

We all need a mentor – someone who shows us how to be a better person. My mentor was our mini-dachshund Oscar. In this video I share how Oscar taught me patience, persistence and tenacity. This video was made in May 2010, Oscar died in June 2012. He still is my mentor…

Be sure to turn up your speakers.

His story was written up in magazines and as a feature article in the newspaper. Oscar became a mentor to others too.

      Thanks Marilyn

I couldn’t even watch it all the way through – I miss the little guy so much. He had such a positive impact on our lives.

I didn’t know Oscar’s story. If he can survive what he did and thrive, imagine what we can do when we put our mind to it. We can learn so much from animals. Even though he’s no longer here, his spirit touches others.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, he was an inspiration. He lived in the here and now and didn’t allow setbacks to hold him back. Everytime I begin to feel sorry for myself, I think of Oscar and he inspires me.

Great, inspiring video! There’s no doubt that Oscar made a difference in your life as well as you making a difference in his!

You’re right Meli, he was my mentor – we can learn so much from our “furry friends.”

I never knew Oscar’s story. Thanks so much for sharing; I know his spirit still lives with you, even though he has passed on. No wonder you loved him so much. He was truly a gift from God and will continue to inspire you.
